Did women have to follow a ‘gender appropriate genre’ when it came to literature like they had to for many other aspects of life?
Was there a time where women were discouraged from writing in general?
Once women began to write more, do you believe there is a correlation between the higher quantity of literature and the development of gender equality that we have seen thus far?
My question to you is, do you believe Martins way of writing strong female characters is a good one? It has proven successful with many fans loving the power and strength that women hold in the books, but I also wonder is their [sic] another way to prove strength without a woman having to act like a man?
